Bartkira is the east-west mash-up of “The Simpsons” and unquestionably one of the greatest manga and anime, “Akira” by Katsuhiro Otomo.
Based on the illustrations of Ryan Humphrey and spearheaded by James Harvey, this hybrid comic re-creates the entire Akira manga by replacing it’s original characters with a Simpsons line-up. A hilarious AND amazing feat by the Bartkira producers in putting this comic book series together. It’s a completely non-profit project, and done pro-bono by all the artists/fans involved.
