PKZ Alois Carigiet 1933 Swiss Poster

This is a 1933 Swiss poster (38"x 51") advertising PKZ, Switzerland's oldest fashion house. It was created by the renowned Swiss graphic designer and illustrator Alois Carigiet.

Alois Carigiet (1902–1985), who is also famous for illustrating the beloved children's book A Bell for Ursli. Printed by Wolfsberg in Zürich. This was the first of many animal-themed posters Carigiet created for PKZ. The "PKZ" on the bag stands for Paul Kehl, Zürich, the company's founder.

Founded in 1881, PKZ remains a leading high-end fashion retailer in Switzerland today. During the 1930s, the company was known for commissioning top artists to create bold, humorous, and artistic advertisements that became a significant part of Swiss cultural heritage.Stone Litho, Linen backed.
