Threats of the South Seas 1934 Japanese B5 Chirashi Poster 2-Sided

This is a Japanese B5 Chirashi Flyer (15" x 10.5" flat & 2-sided) for the 1934 underwater documentary film title Threats of the South Seas/Wonders of the Deep.

Presented by Frank R. Wilson, the film documents the 1934 expedition of George Vanderbilt to the South Seas. Vanderbilt, an American explorer and heir, traveled to the Pacific to document marine life and local cultures.

George Washington Vanderbilt III (September 23, 1914 – June 24, 1961) was an American yachtsman and scientific explorer who was a member of the prominent Vanderbilt family.

Side 2 advertises Moon Over Morocco (French: Les cinq gentlemen maudits) is a 1931 French mystery film directed by Julien Duvivier and starring Harry Baur, René Lefèvre and Rosine Deréan. A separate German-language film The Five Accursed Gentlemen was also produced.
