Toei Manga Festival 1978 Japanese B2 Poster-B

This is a Japanese B2 Poster (20.3" x 28.7") for the 1960s Japanese theatrical release for a "Toei Manga Festival" (Toei Manga Matsuri). The Toei Cartoon Festival (東映まんがまつり, Tōei Manga Matsuri) is a festival established by Toei Animation in 1967 as a way to showcase their popular children's series as theatrical films during seasonal breaks in the school year (spring vacation, summer vacation, and winter vacation).

This poster highlights the following five popular series from the era:

Wolf Boy Ken (Ōkami Shōnen Ken): Centrally featured, this was the first anime series produced by Toei Animation.

Shōnen Ninja Kaze no Fujimaru (Fujimaru, the Ninja Boy of Wind): Appearing at the top right, this jidaigeki-themed series was based on a manga by Sanpei Shirato.

Space Boy Soran (Uchuu Shōnen Soran): Shown at the bottom right, this science fiction series follows a boy with a robotic partner.

Space Patrol Hopper (Uchuu Patrol Hopper): Featured at the top left, it was one of Toei's first sci-fi animations.

Super Jetter: Displayed at the bottom, this series also belongs to the early sci-fi anime genre.
