Gevaert Roll-Film Poster Donald Brun 1948

This is a 1948 Swiss poster (35.5"x 47") advertising "Gevaert Roll-Film" by the influential Swiss graphic designer Donald Brun.

The artwork is a prime example of the "Basel School" style, featuring bold colors and stylized, whimsical imagery. It was commissioned by Gevaert, a Belgian photography company that eventually merged with the German firm Agfa to become Agfa-Gevaert.Donald Brun (1909–1999), a renowned freelance graphic designer based in Basel, Switzerland. The poster was produced as a lithograph by the printer Frobenius, Basel.
