This is a  28" x 54" poster for Hector Berlioz's dramatic legend, La Damnation de Faust. This specific poster was created by the French artist Georges Dola (a pseudonym for Edmond Vernier, 1872–1950)

The Damnation of Faust is a French musical composition for four solo voices, full seven-part chorus, large children's chorus and orchestra by the French composer Hector Berlioz. He called it a légende dramatique("dramatic legend").^[2] It was first performed at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 6 December 1846.
