Mary Callery 1959 Exhibition Poster

This is a 15" x 27" poster for Artist Mary Callery and her 1965 Exhibition In NYC. She is best known for her modern and abstract Expressionist sculpture. She lived in France where she worked and collected art until the war broke out and she returned to the U.S.

Her sculptures were open and abstract often resembling drawings in metal. Callery was part of the New York School art movement from the 1940s to the 1960s. She passed away in 1977 at the age of 73.
