This is an original 11" x 14"photograph of  William Powell (1892–1984), a prominent American actor of the early 20th century, taken in the 1930s, a period often considered his prime.

Powell was a major star under contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and is best remembered for his debonair screen persona. He is most famous for starring as the suave detective Philo Vance and later as Nick Charles in the iconic Thin Man film series, where he was paired with Myrna Loy in 14 different films.
